My granddaughter has a virus?!

Question: She is only six, and has the usual symptoms of a cold, a very high temperature and pains in the backs of her legs (behind her knees). She could hardly walk when she got out of bed on Tuesday. The GP said that its a fluey type thing and she said to give her paracetomol and ibuprofen for the pains in the legs. She is much better today, though still a little hot and coughing a bit.
My question is, has anyone else had these types of symptoms, because I was worried, I heard that septacemia can cause pains in the legs.
Thankyou.

ah i bet you are worried sick, viruses are very common , especially in children and more so at this time of year, well firstly antibiotics dont work against viruses, the best thing to do is let the child rest, give her plenty of drinks, dont let her get too hot, give paracetamol every 6 hrs, that will help with any fever and any pains then just wait, most viruses pass just as quickley as they come and she will be as rite as rain in no time at all, and most of all dont worry she will be just fine,,

Norton antivirus from pc world may help

its won't be sepacemia if she now getting better. i found that when any of my three got a bad cold growing pain in there legs always seemed worse so maybe that's what it was.
