Yes, very easily.

What is commonly called a 'cold sore' on the mouth is actually an outbreak of an oral herpes infection. 80% of us have oral herpes, at least 60% of us by the time we enter high school - it is usually not caught sexually but by being kissed by an adult with the virus, probably a family member, when you are a child.

Oral herpes is usually caused by the herpes virus hsv-1. Hsv-1 on the mouth is actually the most infectious form of herpes you can have, more so than hsv-2 on the genitals. You are mainly infectious when you have a cold sore, but are also infectious up to 10% of the time when you have no symptoms.

Herpes infects the area it comes into contact with. So if you have a cold sore, or you are currently infectious without symptoms, and you give your partner oral sex, they may get genital herpes caused by hsv-1 on their genitals.

People who already have oral herpes hsv-1 on their mouths are highly unlikely to catch hsv-1 on their genitals from a partner with oral herpes. It is something that normally happens to people who have never had a cold sore and don't have the antibodies to the hsv-1 virus already.

If you don't have oral hsv-1, and your partner does, and they give you oralsex regularly, you run a pretty high risk of contracting genital herpes this way.

Neither I nor my sister caught cold sores (oral herpes) as kids, because no one in our family got them. We both caught genital hsv-1 in our twenties through receiving oral sex from partners that had a history of cold sores- though neither of our partners had a cold sore at the time.

Even if a boy says he has never had a cold sore, he may still have oral herpes. 80% of people with the virus are symptomless and unaware they are infected.

There are 2 types of the herpes virus, both are infective. If a boy has a cold sore (herpes on his mouth ) and gives you oral sex, then yes you can get genital herpes.

Yes you can.

If the boy has a sore on his mouth, he could pass it on to the vagina if he touches it with his lips.

The same applies to girls. If a girl has a sore on her lip, she can pass it on to the boy if she kisses his penis.

If either one has a sore (herpes) on their mouth and they kiss, they can pass it on.

Herpes on the lips is Not Always visible. You might not know that the other person has Herpes by just looking at it.

For Herpes to clear can take a long time.

Sometimes antibiotics are necessary.

Better don't kiss a frog in the hope he turns out to be a price ;)

Hello,

Yes you can get Herpes from oral sex. And yes the boyor gurl has to be infected.

Think of it like this for a second,
you have "peanut butter" smeared all over your hand and you shake your boyfriends hand. He is going to get your "peanut butter" all over his hand. If you didnt have peanut butter on your hand, then he wouldn't get any peanut butter on his hand after "shaking."

Now, if your boyfriend puts peanut butter on his lips and kisses you on the "Vah Jay Jay", your most likely to get reese's peices (herpes on the Vah Jay Jay).

Reese's peices and peanut butter represents herpes in the above paragraph.
Obviously I used peanut butter to explain the contraction of herpes. Peanut butter has nothing to do with herpes or any STD. I just wanted to show you how herpes could be spread.

If you do get the herpes virus it will hide in your blood, and you will alway's have it and be able to pass it along. No cure

Sometimes you cant even tell you are infected before you pass it along.

So be safe,
Herpes is the gift that keeps on giving

yes they do have to be infected. if they have cold sores (which are oral herpes) then oral herpes can be pased onto your genitals. it wouldn't be genital herpes but oral herpes (cold sores) on the genitals. i had oral herpes passed to my genitals so its possible.
for the gential type it usually takes genital to gential cotact with some one who has genital herpes. herpes doesn't come from no where, someone has to have it in order to pass it.
