Answers: can you use lucozade or powerade to rehydrate after illness ???

Yes, but don't use it exclusively, your teeth will rot from all the sugar :) Also use water-based drinks like water, squash, etc and fruit juices as well, which will also give some vitamin benefits.

what's rong with water??

NO!
it says so on the bottle anyway
stick to water-its the best cure

you can but water helps more

Not really, your better off with water or a specific re-hydration product from a pharmacy. It even says on the back of Lucozade bottles that it should not be used to replace fluids lost from diaorhea.

whenever i was ill as a child my auntie always bought me a bottle of lucozade.i always get it now when i am sick

No if you read the label on lucozade it says you can't

stick to corporation pop or pure fruit juice...

water is the best way to rehydrate its says on the bottle can not replace fluid lost through illness and diarrhoea if your like me and dont much like the bland taste of water just buy some high juice for it

7up is what i always use, leave the fizz go out of it first.

try Diorolite from pharmascist. Its a re-hydrating powder, it comes in different flavours and is useful after illness, extreme sports and replacing minerals your body needs

Water is best, if you need some salts and sugar then flat or lemonaid that has been boiled and allowed to cool is OK

Definitely not!

Apart from the warning on the bottle, think about what Lucozade is, (a glucose supplement).

The body has to add water to it to ingest. You would be causing dehydration.

Stick to water/dilute juice or even tea.

better off with water, though lucozade will give you a sugar kick and up your energy levels
