I think that sometimes people don't know how to react in situations like yours!. They are frightened of doing the wrong thing or saying the wrong thing!. They were probably feeling scared of losing you!.
I am sure your friends never meant to hurt you!. Whilst we all mean well, sometimes we as human beings can be a little selfish! They were probably trying to deal with how they felt about the situation so they took a step back!. I can definately see how this would've really hurt your feelings!.
You should talk to your friends about how you felt during those times!. It would probably be a real eye opener for them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your friends do not know how to respond, so dot not get mad!. Call them, they maybe to afraid they will wake you up or not know what to say!. If you are requesting help, be very specific on the task that needs to be done!. Just tell people what you need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
