What are the symptoms of MS?!


Question: What are the symptoms of MS!?
My mom recently found out that she has multiple sclerosis and I was curious about what it's like to have it!. I've spoken to her about it but she has a very high pain tolerance and I think she's sugar coating it so i wont worry too much about her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my mother in law had ms!. it rarely and barely affected her!. as with all diseases, some people are hit hard and others are not!.

your mother's pain tolerance may be high and she may be protecting you from the seriousness of what she goes through in a day!. that's what mom's do for the children!. we don't want you to worry!. at the same time, we're screaming inside for someone to help, to take pity and be helpful around the house, etc!.!.!. you may see your mom have days where everything bothers her!. she may get snippy!. know it's not you, it's the disease!. it's the chronic pain!. it makes a person grouchy!. it takes it's toll emotionally!.

Early symptoms
Common early symptoms of MS include:1

Muscle or motor symptoms, such as weakness, leg dragging, stiffness, a tendency to drop things, a feeling of heaviness, clumsiness, or a lack of coordination (ataxia)!.
Visual symptoms, such as blurred, foggy, or hazy vision, eyeball pain (especially with movement), blindness, or double vision!. Optic neuritis-a sudden loss of vision and eye pain-is a fairly common first symptom, occurring in up to 25% of those who develop MS!.
Sensory symptoms, such as tingling, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, a bandlike tightness around the trunk or legs, or electrical sensations moving down the back and legs!.
Less common early symptoms include:1

Balance symptoms, such as lightheadedness or dizziness, and a spinning feeling (vertigo)!.
Bladder symptoms, such as an inability to hold urine (urinary incontinence) or to completely empty the bladder, or a loss of bladder sensation-an inability to sense that the bladder becoming full until there is a sudden, urgent need to urinate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try to talk your mother into joining a support group!. There are support groups for family members for MS also!. This helps a lot!.

MS runs into different extremes - what bothers one person may not bother another person at all!. Plus there are different "varieties" of MS!.
