Answers:
I would vaccinate for hepatitis B before he gets any tatoos, ear piercing, or even thinks about drugs or sex!. Many babies have DIED after getting the shot within 12 hours of birth!. As a health care professional, I have seen 1 baby with hepatitis B and the mother gave it to the child!. The government is using scare tactics concerning hepatitis B and infants!. The only infants at risk for hepatitis B are those who need blood products ( hemophiliacs) and whose mothers have tested postitive for hepatitis B!. This is one vaccine that can be safely moved to when the child is much older!. My coworker did not give her son the hepatitis B shot until he was in high school ( she is also a health care professional)!. I would give the shot after the age of 8 because puberty is occurring at a much younger age!.
I got the hepatitis B vaccine over 20 years ago and still have immunity!. I would have the titers checked after the shots because some people do NOT develop immunity after third shot of hepatitis B and need a fourth shot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you should!. It is not what he does now but what he may do later!. At some point he will have sex!. Hopefully no drugs and only a few tattoos!. What's worse one extra shot for a couple visits or an infection in your liver!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you should!. Do some research!. Hep B is not only sexualy trasmitted hun!. All though it may be contracted that way as well!.http://health!.yahoo!.com/hepatitis-overvi!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
