What causes swelling and pressure behind your knee cap?!

Question: What causes swelling and pressure behind your knee cap!?
Answers:
Hello,, if you've torn a ligament, or even just sprained it,, it will cause inflamation,, which will cause swelling, tenderness and just all around pain!. So apparently you've hurt the ligament that runs from your knee to your foot!. Also the arthritis, that he apparently didn't take to seriously can cause inflammation and swelling!. Especially around the joints!. You can take Aleve for the inflammation,, if you aren't on any other meds that it might react to,, like a blood thinner!. Sounds like you need to get your doctors attention and make him explain what he thinks is going on!. And if you don't understand what he says,, don't be shy,, ask him to tell you what he said in English, so you can understand it!. Your paying him for his help and advise,,, don't be afraid to make him stop long enough to answer your questions!. Hope this helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com
