Question: Black stools for 2 days!.!.but no other symptoms!?
I started taking Zoloft about a year ago!.!.and had black stools at that time, which was a side effect!. It went away after a few days!. Well, it's been a year now, and for the past 2 days, I have it again!. I havn't eaten spinach or taken Pepto Bismal!. Don't you think I would have other symptoms if it was internal bleeding!? Should I wait a couple more days!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it were internal bleeding you might have abdominal discomfort, dizziness or tiredness, but sometimes black stools (melena) can be the only sign!. If you're not on iron, peptobismol, or eating spinach it might be due to dehydration!.

Is it black or very dark!. Dark stools is an indication of to much bad bacteira growing in the intestines!. You should really cleanse the bowl out with something like magnesium oxide and than replenish your intestines back with friendly bacteria!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
