Sudephed and pharmasists.....why?!
Question: Sudephed and pharmasists!.!.!.!.!.why!?
I suffer from pretty bad year round allergies!. I have tried zyrtec and Claritin and neither one work!. If i go to the Doctor, which i have tons for this reason!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.they always tell me that my congestion and swelling is so bad the only thing that will take care of it is !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Sudephed!. They even prescribe it to me! So why on earth are Pharmacies so rude to people that do buy it for LEGITIMATE reasons!? They even lecture me about better allergy choices and i explain to them that nothing else works! They give me a look like, yeah right you meth junkie!! I have never even tried any kind of drugs in my life, including pot!.!.!.!.!.!.!.so this is very offensive to me and now i feel so self conscience when i get my allergy medication, which i have to do frequently! I have had the worst treatment by walgreens pharmasists!. Before the stuff was used to make meth, it was used for allergies and it is all i can use!! Why do phamacists just assume the worst and lecture!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

HAHA I have had the same exact problem!. I'm not sure why but they seem to think now that everyone i s a meth head if they want sudafed!. What I get now is allegra-D which has pseudoephedrine in it and the pharmacists never give me dirty looks or ask for my ID!. It has to be prescribed but it works well for me!. I still buy sudafed for congestion because this pill is once a day and the sudafed component doesn't always last as long as I need it to!. It is pretty good though!. I'm not sure how to handle the situation either but I understand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You may have what is called a dependency of Allergy medicines!.
It isn't like a dope addicitioon as far as crazy cravings, but the body has developed a want / need for the stuff and reacts with a runny nose, watery eyes etc!.
Going cold turkey for a few months may take care of it!.
Locally collected honey is a good substitute!.
Its not natural for people to be allergic to the world!.

Ask to see the head pharmacist and explain to them that you do not appreciate the way the techs are treating you regarding your choice of allergy relief!. and due to their obvious lack of professionalism, you will be switching pharmacies!. That should give them a hint!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
That's crazy! It must be in there training that they have to do that!. That's got to be embarrassing specially if other people are around!. Try going to a new pharmacy, maybe it will be different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can buy sudephed from the supermarket!.!.!.!. Nobody cares there!. If it is prescription strength that you need go to WALMART!. I guarantee you that they are not going to think twice about what you get!. As for why the Pharmacists give you weird looks & offer advice!.!.!.!.!. , When you drop off the prescription, say thank-you and leave!. When you pick up the prescription, say thank-you and leave!. It is not necessary EVER to get directions on usage or advice from the pharmacist!. If he starts talking to you!. Tell him/her "NO THANK-YOU!." Tell him if he has a political opinion about sudephed usage!.!.!.!.CALL THE FDA, otherwise you are not interested!.!. =) I never get advice from the pharmacist unless it's for my daughter!.
