Question: Have you ever had a bad reaction to yeast infection cream!?
I used walmart's genric equate brand 1 day yeast infection cream and it gave me blisters down there!. I went to the doc and she said it was genital herpes!. One year later I got pregnant and had my blood test done and it was negative for herpes!. I haven't had a breakout since then so I think I had to have just had a bad reaction to the cream!. Has this happened to anyone else!. please tell me!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you may be allergic to the type of medication it is!. Check the ingredients on the back and compare to monistat see if they are the same it could be something as simple as added fragrence that could have caused an allergic reaction!. Now if you try an at home brand such as monostat 1 day ovual which rocks by the way!.!.!. and you have the same problem, I would recommend then getting diflucan which is a perscription drug that takes care of yeast infections with out the mess!.!. but requires a doctors visit!. If you showed negative to a herpies test, ask them to draw labs when you go back in, to check for herpies again just to be safe!. When you go your partner also needs to go for labs to check for the virus!. ( its not required if your a gyn patient but ob it usually is)

When the doc diagnosed you with herpes, did she do a culture of one of the bumps or did she just look at you and say it was herpes!? A lot of cases of (non) herpes are misdiagnosed this way, so I culture should always be done to rule out other causes of bumps (like an allergic reaction to the cream, maybe)!.
If your blood test came back negative it means you do not have the herpes antibody and have never been exposed to the herpes virus!.

HMMM!.!.!.!.!.when you have a yeast infection, some times the cream makes you burn, but I've never experienced any bumps from it!. As far as you having herpes, herpes can lie dormant for many years!. Some people have one outbreak and never have another one!. I would advise you to go get tested again because in most cases, unless you specifically ask to be tested for herpes, ob/gyn don't usually test for that!.
