What does my heart beat 148/7 mean?!

Question: What does my heart beat 148/7 mean!?
Answers:
The systolic (the top number) arterial pressure is defined as the peak pressure in the arteries!. The diastolic pressure is specifically the minimum arterial pressure!. This site can tell you more: heartdisease!.about!.comWww@Answer-Health@Com

120/80 is considered to be normal, but what might be normal for one person might not be for another!. Systolic over diastolic!. which basically means when the heart valves open and close!. you couldn't possbly have a blood pressure of 7!. I think you mean 70!. I think my Dad medical professionals look at the top number more so than the bottom number!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just today took my son, age 16, whose name is also Stephen, to the doctors over the same issue!. He went for a school physical and could not pass it because his blood pressure was too high for them!. He was checked twice at our doctors and it was still high!. We have been told that my Stephen is to drink only bottled water (we live in Cali where the water has alot of sodium/salt), keep salt out of his diet and come back in two weeks!. I would suggest the same for you and hope that your top number goes down as it should be around 130!. Good luck to you!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
