Question: Please help, repeated hiccups in child!?
my son is ill with sickness and diarrhea,he has been sick a couple of times today!. I am trying to get some fluids into him!. The wierd thing is he has had hiccups about 7 times today!! They are lasting ages!
He is 6 years old and normally in good health!.
Can anyone tell me what causes them and are they connected with his illness!.!.!.also are they anything to be worried about!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say it is because his diaphragm muscle is misfiring or out of rhythm you might say, most common cause of hiccups!. An interesting cure is to ask someone a hard math question that they have to do in there head, like asking me 12X14 and I would have to solve it in my head!. Somehow this resets the diaphragm dont ask me how!. If he is vomitting or coughing alot you need to try to stop that, that is probably what is causing the diaphragm to get out of rhythm!. If he knows any math, ask him something that would be hard for him, might stop the hiccups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
