Do you have to take meds daily or multiple times daily?!

Question: Do you have to take meds daily or multiple times daily!?
If so, do you get tired of people constantly "reminding" (ie NAGGING) you about it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yep, I take a lot of meds!. several times a day!. I pretty much know when and how to take them, but in the beginning my husband used to ask me all the time "have you remembered to take your meds!.!?" Sometimes it would bug me but I think it's his constant reminding that has helped me to remember! (don't tell him though! LOL)Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if you are an adult and you have been prescribed a certain medication because of a condition that your doctor felt like needed to be treated then it would be best to take it as prescribed by your doctor!. The reason it says to try to take at the same time every day is because your doctor is trying to maintain a certain level of that medication in your blood system for it to be effective in fighting the condition you are being treated for!. If someone is "nagging " you to take your prescription meds then they love you enough to nag!. Count your blessings that someone does care about you!. ALot of people don't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They are probably nagging you because you forget - stop forgetting and they will leave you alone!.
I have a 7 day divided box for morning and night, and I put them all in there at the begining of the week and they have magnets on the back - I stick them right to the fridge, then I can see whether I took them or not - if you did that and your parents (or whoever) can see that you take them, they will leave you alone!.

I have to take mine or I will die, so I dont' mind a reminder once in a while if someone sees I didn't take them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have to take meds when I first get up, and again at 9:00 at night (10:00 if we are staying up an extra hour)!. Both my husband and I are LOUSY at remembering our pills, so I got us each 'pill minders' that sit on our desks!. We still forget to take them sometimes, but not nearly as often!. I could set the alarm on my computer, but then I'd just turn the monitor off and wouldn't hear it (the speakers are in the monitor) !.!.!. so I just try my best !.!.!. darn it all anyway !.!.!.
I take thyroid supplement in the morning plus two aspirin for pain, and hydrochlorthiazide (blood pressure and swelling) and two aspirin plus diphenhydramine hydrocholoride (for sleep) !.!.!. I have had two heart attacks, and should be taking a statin but I'm crazy sensitive to those, but I still think I'm doing pretty good !.!.!. it used to be 20 pills in the morning and 20-30 at night right after the attacks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have mine now all in the evening!. Thanks for the reminder! I do not get nagged, but have asked people to remind me or ask if I have taken them!. I have forgotten before and my blood thickens to a dangerous level overnight, putting me at great risk!. Some of my medications are not as important as that, but if it keeps me functioning, reminders are a good thing!. Gives me one less thing to remember!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I don't but I know someone who does (eyedrops for Glaucoma), and they appreciate it because if you forget to take those drops, you can go blind!. So, stop being aggravated and start appreciating the fact that people care enough to remind you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes I have to take 2 gabapentine 3 x daily!.

To be honest if it wasn't for my O/H reminding me they wouldn't be taken hardly at all because my brain is like a sieve!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I take an inhaler and when I was younger my mum use to constantly remind me about taking it which was kind of annoying but also helpfulWww@Answer-Health@Com
