If a child has autism when will they speak normally?!

Question: If a child has autism when will they speak normally!?
Answers:
Don't listen to them! Don't give up on your child!. You can bring him out of this, don't lose hope!. try the feingold diet!. look up special diets for special kids!. Get him a pet, get him an ot therapist!. GET A TRAMPOLINE (swear by it) It stimulates them and words fly out of my sons mouth when he is on it!!! Please don't give up, you can fix this! It NEVER hurts to try! Good luck, I mean it, It takes a special person to have an autistic childWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes they will grow to adulthood and never speak at all!. It has nothing to do with lack of ability!. It's a psychological block!. I heard of a woman whose sister was autistic!. One night the girl came to visit her sister at her apartment complex, and was raped in the hallway!. It should have been easy for the rapist, considering that the girl was mute!. However, she started laughing hysterically!. When the sister looked out the door, the rapist was scared off!.

Anyway, that girl was perfectly intelligent and understood language perfectly!. In fact, she was pretty normal in all other respects except her muteness!.

I personally know an autistic woman who has all the symptoms of high-functioning autism!. She is really juvenile and listens to children's music all the time, although she is in her fifties!. She uses sign language sometimes, but strangely, in the presence of animals she speaks perfectly well with correct grammer, pronunciation and clear enunciation!.

So, the big answer is that it's really no big deal when an autistic child starts talking!. He'll talk when he's ready!.

Watch the movie "Sweet and Lowdown!." It's about a mute autistic woman who falls in love with a no-good musician!.

Incidentally; the worst thing you can do is pressure your child to be normal, as "just me" suggests!. To do so puts him in danger of regressing!. If you want to try diets, that's fine I suppose, just so long as you don't force him to eat something he hates!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most likely they will never speak normally, It's the way their brain works!. Believe me I know from experience, My son was diagnosed with autism at 2 1/2 and is now almost 10 years old!. My advice is be glad they can speak at all and always do the best you can!. My child is non verbal and even with speech therapy he still has not spoke any words!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
