I got scraped through my shirt by the top of a nail that was sticking out of some wood!. There was blood visible on the scratch mark but no bleeding!. I am one of those weenies who hates shots so yah!.!.!. I hate this!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you haven't had a tetanus shot in the past 5-10 years, you should get one!. Tetanus itself is much more painful than the shot!.
You should always keep your tetanus shots up to date!. Even there are only 100 or so cases of tetanus in the US every year, they are almost exclusively in people who have not been vaccinated!.
Tetanus is caused by bacteria, not rust!. The bacteria is found outdoors (hence the association with rust) especially in areas that may have manure/animal feces in the soil!. Also tetanus is usually associated with a deep puncture wound!.
In summary, your likelyhood of getting tetanus from this scratch is very low, but as a general rule keep your tetanus vaccination up to date!. Don't wait for another accident!. It takes time for the shot to become fully effective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

was the nail rusty and when was the last time you got a tetanus shot!? You should get a new one every 5 to 7 years!. If it wasn't really rusty and you washed it out really well you should be fine!. Watch for infection!. If it gets red and puffy or sore to the touch go see a doctore!. They might just give you and antibiotic for it instead of a shot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
ok i stepped on a rusty nail talking to a friend/ i had a blister that looked liek a wart for months! but it FINNALY fell off!.!.!. well i tryed to get it off for like 6th months!.!.!. but it always bled!.!.!.!. if it is deep then yes if no i think ur fine
