Am I the only person who read your question!? You seem to be getting answers who are scolding you for not taking your insulin when you don't need it, or for eating what you want because you can!.

I can almost guarantee that you are in your honeymoon period!. Most type 1 diabetics get one, but not all!. Some get one right away after diagnosis, some don't get one for a while!. And you never know how long it's going to last!.

What happens is you begin taking your insulin, and it tricks your pancreas into thinking it's working again, so it actually begins to produce some insulin again before it quits for good!. If you talk to a medical professional i'm sure they'd give you a more detailed explanation, but that's basically it!.

What you need to do is, keep in touch with your endocrinologist (if you aren't already) !.!.!. I would assume that they are telling you to keep checking your blood sugar !.!.!. !? If they haven't, you really need to start!. Because your diabetes will come back!. It may not be soon, just don't stop checking!. Type 1 does not go away!.

As far as your diet !.!.!. well, you know !.!.!. you shouldn't eat garbage!. But if I were in your shoes I would probably splurge a little too!. You should probably check that out with your endo too !.!.!. maybe they will give you a reason why you still have to follow a diet!. Oh, and try not to put on pounds !.!.!. it's especially hard for type 1s to lose weight!. Keep that in mind when you're splurging!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know why the difference in AiC readings with the way are treating yourself!. I do know that diabetics have what is called Insulin Resistance (IR)!. The cell wall membrane has port holes in it which allows the insulin to enter through them and transport nutrition into the cell!.
These ports become clogged with plaque which is caused by trans fats and hydrogenated oils!. The plaque must be removed to allow the insulin to enter!.Stop ingesting those oils and switch to good oils such as olive, coconut, flax, fish, etc!.
Stop ingesting ALL sugar if you can, as it is toxic, poison, to your body and will cause you to have serious eye problems and heart problems as the sugar ruins the blood vessel walls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your blood sugar can change radically from hour to hour based on what you eat and stress factors!. Just because you tested okay now doesn't mean that you no longer are diabetic!. It sounds like you're not taking your illness very seriously, but you better wake up to the fact that you have diabetes and if you don't want to stick yourself with a needle every day of your life you need to start eating a better diet for your condition!. I lost both my mom and grandmother on my mom's side to diabetes and I can tell you from experience that it's no joke!. Please take care of yourself before it's too late!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Um hum!?!?!? 08!?!? no, think it was 07!. Anyway, there is sometimes a honeymoon period associated with type 1 where the pancreas renews and produces insulin for a period of time!. There is not guarentee that it will continue to do this for you and you may wake up one day in the ICU coming out of a coma!! I would not wish that on anyone!.

Not sure why you stopped using the insulins!. Not a good plan at all, but maybe because you were going hypo or were you gaining an enormous amount of inches!?!? anyway, your honeymoon period may be nearly over or not!.

I recommend you keep close watch on your glucose levels at all times!. The crash when it comes will be very painful to your bod!! And come, it will, eventually!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honestly, as a diabetic who has taken insulin for over 15 years, to stop your meds cold turkey and not take care of your body, you are setting yourself up for a world of hurt!. Your kidneys, liver, heart, ALL your organs are working overtime to keep your body working!. Seems a shame to not take your life and health so seriously!. Diabetics that don't take their medicines!?!? Usually end up dying early!. Not trying to make you feel bad, but someone has to point out the harsh reality!. I have been fighting with my sugars, adjusting my insulins and testing my sugars to keep regulated, and you just give up and have great numbers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

IF back in Dec!. that was you first clue then it is possible for the body to rebound some!. Mine did, but I became very disciplined over night!. I had a HbA1C of 12!.1 and finger prick results of 600+!. Now I am 5!.6 and 110/85!. I am diabetic, but I work at and overall I am much more healthy

You must work to control you condition its works against you long term not too!.

Best Wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
