Question: Should I be worried about an 8 mm kidney stone!?
I went the ER and the Physician's Assistant acted like it was no big deal that I have an 8 mm kidney stone in my kidney!. She said she's seen a lot of people walking around with them and don't even know they have one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any size kidney stone can cause worry!. I've had one and it was the size of a pea so I had to have it blasted because it was too big for me to pass!. I'm thinking the PA said not to worry about it because you might just pass it and you'll be fine!. Why did you go to the ER, were you in pain!? Did she give you something for it!? If she said not to worry about this one then I wouldn't!. You'll probably just pass it sooner than later!. HOWEVER, now that you've had one I would start drinking obsene amounts of water during the day to get that one out of your system and to prevent another one from coming back!. I used to drink nothing but soda and I came to the conclusion that I had to start drinking more water!. It's been over 5 years and I haven't had another one!. Good Luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't worry they are to advanced nowadays, before they would cut you from your chest down to your kidney (major surgery) now its just minor surgery dont be afraid they just shatter it, they have a procedure to shatter themWww@Answer-Health@Com
