Lay off the chilli for a while!.
Kidding!.
You might have an infection, and depending on the symptoms, such as tears, blood-shot eye, or none of these, could depend on what I would recommend!. For conjunctivitis, a doctor is required to prescribe anti-biotics or prescription cream!. Symptoms are bruised-sensation around the eyelids, watering, and bloodshot eyes!. If this is not the case, you may have a sore underneath your eye-lid, and these tend to go away by themselves, as long as you leave the thing alone!. With impact (black eye trauma) two Arnica tablets a day should remove the problem within a few days (can be bought at homeopathic shops and some Chemists)!. Of course, not knowing your exact symptoms and the pain you describe, I am going to be a little cliched and strongly suggest that if the pain and swelling is the same (or worse) tomorrow, you consult a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Punch the other one - at least they will match, may even look sutry!
Only joking!. Try bathing they eye with warm water!. If you dont have an eye wash, use an egg cup but make sure you sterilise it first by boiling it out!. If this doesn't work, go to your doc, you can never be too careful with eyes!.
Also, think about what you may have put on them the day before, ie, new make up or cream!. Even perfume or hairspray that may have touched your eye!. Hair dye is a common one for swelling eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
