Ingrown toenail. hurt?? cost??!

I had a horrible ingrown toenail for over a year!. I kept doing my own little surgeries and it would feel better for a couple days and then get worse!. I was sooo scared to go get it taken care of but I'm sooo glad I did!. The worst part is that you can hear/see the dr!. cutting it out!. You dont really feel anything because they numb it really well!. It hurts a little afterwards but not nearly as much as an ingrown toenail hurts!. I didn't pay anything because I had insurance at the time!. You've GOT to get the surgery!.!.!.it takes like 10 minutes and it will save you ALOT of pain!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doc suggested another cure - he took a small pointed tool (like the end of a plastic flosser) and "scraped" between the surface of the toenail and the skin on the sides!. He repeated this a few times!. After doing this twice a day for 3-5 days, my pain was gone!.

I had the surgery in an ER many years ago, and it wasn't horrible (though I was only 16)!. I was able to walk with minor difficulty!. I would try the easy solution first!Www@Answer-Health@Com
