My son is in our pool everyday for a few hours at a time!. I know chlorine does dry your hair and scalp but I have never seen anything like this before! I started noticing a few days ago that even immediatly after washing his hair, it has a terrible sulfer smell in it, like the smell of a match after its put out!. So I started looking at his scalp and it is covered in this terrible brown crusty stuff! What in the world can I do to get rid of this!?!? Help!.!.!.please!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sounds like cradle cap--remember, like babies get!. Try rubbing aloe vera gently on it after it 'soaks' for a while!. It may take several days to remove so you don't irritate the scalp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He needs to see a doctor rather quickly and you need to have your pool water checked!.

In the future, try replacing the chlorine with salt!. Some people use salt to keep the water clean!. It has little adverse affect on skin, eyes, or scalp in this situation!.

It is likely your son has developed a skin condition, either due to too much chlorine or a bad mix up, or too little chemicals in the pool water that has allowed for bacteria to grow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try one of those deep clean shampoos!. also, check that everything is alright chemically in your pool and it's clean!.

if that doesn't work than talk to a dermatologist or doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

consult a dermatologist, people on here can't diagnose that, it could be from the chlorine, but maybe it's from something internalWww@Answer-Health@Com
