Question: Oral sex and std!?!?
my bf and i are both virgins!. a couple days ago, he performed oral sex on me and yesterday night, it started itching down there for about 5 minutes!. could i have an std!?!? (no cold sores) i don't know what's going on!.!.!.it's very embarrassing but i'd rather ask than live with something i don't know!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You CAN get STD's from oral sex!. check out the Center for Disease Control, its a great source!. However, you probably are just experiencing surface irritation!. Wash your genital area thoroughly and do your best not to itch/touch!. I'd give it another day or 2!. If its worse or not improving then go see a nurse or doc!. Prior post mentioned yeast, very common but since you don't know for certain it would be best to have it checked out!. Proper diagnosis for Gonorrhea for example is widely missed because symptoms are either non existent or very minor so people think its something else!. I doubt you have gonorrhea but the point is it is ESSENTIAL that you take control of your sexual and personal health!. Get regular check ups and don't ignore sketchy symptoms!. Moving forward you and your BF should discuss safe sex practices no matter how serious the relationship!. It's probably not serious!. It may just be irritation from oral sex!. Sometimes if you get rubbed the wrong way it can temporarily damage the tissues down there and make you a little uncomfortable!. You may have a yeast infection (look up the other symptoms of that if it is still bothering you) and that can be spread to his mouth (yuck) but is easily treated!. If it isn't bothering you anymore, I wouldn't worry about it!. If it continues to bother you, go to the dr!. An adult that you trust can probably help you with that if you feel uncomfortable going to your parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way you would have an STD or STI is if the mans penis had HIV or something like that on or in it!. Then the womans mouth would be effected, not her genital region!. You can only gt AIDs through blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
