I would definitely donate one of my kidneys to a friend in need!. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as you!. I need a kidney transplant too!. I've been on the UCLA transplant list for 5yrs and nothing yet!. My closest family members are not matches or not healthy enough to donate!. You have to realize that some people are really skiddish of the donation process and it's not that they don't want to help you or love you, they are just more scared then anything!. Yes, I would do it for family or my best friend!.!.!.!.I would 1st check & see what the condition of my kidneys are & if my remaining kidney is good!.
However, I couldn't blame someone for being afraid to do it!.!.it can be a dangerous procedure!.!.!.plus they may have some medical condition in their family that affects the kidneys!.
Some people go online & search for a trade with someone else who needs a kidney!.

I would do anything in my power to save my friends, family, etc!.
I'd even help someone I don't know!.
