Question: Can doctors tell anybody!?!?!?
In a week im going to my doctor's office im a 17 year old and my boyfriend gave me chlamydia unbeknownst to him!. My mother will be there but i do not want her to know!.Will the doctor tell her anyway or what!? If it helps i live in Florida!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, not if you request to be seen alone and explain to your doctor that you would like the contents of your visit to be confidential!. But just so you know, your doctor will most likely administer a pelvic exam to test for Chlamydia and possibley other STDs, such as Gonnorhea or HPV, and you will need to provide a phone number to be called at for the results, so make sure you give them one that your mother won't be contacted on!. Also, Chlamydia requires antibiotics for treatment, so be prepared to explain to your mother why you need a week long prescirption for Doxycycline!.!.!. When I got Chlamydia from my boyfriend, I told my mom it was a yeast infection and she didn't know the difference or suspect anything!. She is pretty uninformed about this stuff so I don't know if your mom's any smarter, but be prepared!.!.!. Hope that helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
