Adult chickenpox- your experiences please!!

Question: Adult chickenpox- your experiences please!
I'm 20 years old, and on Day 5 of the spots!. I am just getting over the headaches and lethargy and managed to get out of bed yesterday for the first time in ages!. Some of the spots are now scabbing up, but many of them look like whiteheads, as if they're filled with puss (sorry if tmi!) What I want to know is, how long is it going to take for these spots to dissapear!? I feel like squeezing these whitehead things cos they look horrible! I am getting married in 2 weeks and I really want to know if I will be able by then to cover the remaining marks up with makeup and pass off for a normal looking person!? At the moment I look like the lagoon monster!. Your adult chickenpox experiences wanted please!!! xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I got the chicken pox when I was your age!. When I went to the doctor looking like "the lagoon monster" he was jumping up with joy!
Apparently the more the spots and the more ghaslty they are the better!. So thing to do with the meds working!.

Those spots are real uncomfortable, they'r itchy, it hurts abit when you poke them!. I caught it during the summer!. I took frequent showers, didnt poke the zits!. I didnt do any cream, lotion nothing, just Ivory soap!.

Postpone the wedding, not only will the pictures look funny but apparently the risk of spreading it is higher when your on the mend!. Specially at the point where the zits are drying up and flaking!. You dont want to pass it on to anyone!

I didnt do anything to the residual dark spots!. They just dissapeared after 6mos to a year!. Just frequent showers and a good rub a dub dub!. You can use one of those acne soaps for the residual dark spots!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DON'T SQUEEZE!

You'll get nasty scars for life- I feel so sorry for you- adult pox is even more horrid than for kids-

you should be at a stage in 2 weeks where you can cover them quite well- alternatively- you could have a themed wedding and go as a plague victim!.!.!.!.

Good luck and congratulations on the wedding!Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey don't squeeze them! then you'll just scar!. the first pox i got i thought was a spot and eight years later i still have the scar!. (i got mine at 16) mine took a couple of weeks to clear and even by that time if they haven't all gone you should be able to cover them up pretty well with makeup!.

camomile lotion helps!

Please dont squeeze them!. Chicken pox is commonly a childhood illness, however people who catch them later in life suffer terribly from them!. My partner was 25 when he got chicken pox and was really ill with them for about 2 and a half weeks!. He had them on his eyelids and in his throat, erm!.!.!. everywhere!!

Luckily I had them when I was a kid, but they bloody hurt!.

Get well soonWww@Answer-Health@Com

It first manifests itself as a fever and headache, usually starting between 7 to 21 days after exposure to the virus!. 24 to 36 hours later, small round "pimples" appear on the face and body!. They are filled with fluid that looks like water blisters!. The fluid leaks from the swollen areas of the skin, forming a crust!. These eruptions continue in cycles, lasting from 3 days to 1 weeks!.

The blisters and crust are infectious and itchy, and scratching them can lead to bacterial infection and scarring!.

Chickenpox usually runs its course in 2 weeks or less!.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Vitamin C 400-600IU daily, powerful free radical scavenger that increases oxygenation and promotes healing!.(use d- alpha- tocopherol form)
Potassium 99 mg daily, helps reduce fever and speed healing
Zinc 80 mg daily, enhances immune function!. (use zinc gluconate lozenges or OptiZinc for best absorption!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
