Anaphylactic shock and antihistamines?!

Question: Anaphylactic shock and antihistamines!?
If an antihistamine such as Piriton is taken early enough can it prevent anaphylactic shock !? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Depends of the severity of the reaction!. I have a severe peanut reaction a few weeks ago, I was in my friends house, I just picked up the jar of peanut butter to put it in the cupboard, I must have forgotten to wash my hands (I must have made contact with it, maybe there was a bit around the jar) and within SECONDS I went into full blown anaphylactic shock, thank god I have my Epipen with me, of course reactions like mine are rare, but it really just depends on how your body reacts to the allergen, if your having mid symptoms then by all means take a Piriton, but if your having breathing difficulties then you'd need to seek medical attention ASAP!. So basically sometimes an antihistamine will be enough to curb mild reactions, but maybe not prevent severe ones
Regardless of the severity, and even if you have to use adrenaline, always take an antihistamine as wellWww@Answer-Health@Com

Benadryl is another first-line medication for anaphylaxis, but no medication is guaranteed to prevent a reaction!. If you are exposed to an allergen and begin having a reaction, call for an ambulance immediately!. Anaphylaxis is known as a "true medical emergency," meaning it is serious enough to never be ignored!. You may need another medication such as epinephrine or a steroid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anaphylactic shock can be somewhat ameliorated by taking an antihistamine before exposing one's skin to potential harm, such as a bee sting!. One would be better off covering up completely, as well as avoiding situations that could cause this life-threatening reaction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on the amount of medication vs the amount of allergen and the effect each has on the individual!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, since the agent that creates the reaction is unpredictable, nothing can prevent it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
