Question: Tell me more about Pneumonia!!?
Ok!. So most people think pneumonia is caused by getting cold and stuff -- but they're wrong, right!? That's hypothermia!.
I got that far!.!.!. but what is it actually caused by and what are the symptoms!? Is it bacterical!?

Pneumonia basically means inflammation of the lung tissue!. This is usually as a result of an infection!. Sometimes bronchitis and pneumonia occur together which is called broncho-pneumonia!.
Pneumonia is mostly caused by an infection with a bacterium or virus!. Other germs such as fungi, yeasts, or protozoa sometimes cause pneumonia!. Rarely, non-infective pneumonia is caused by inhaling poisons or chemicals!. It can happen if you breathe-in the bacteria, viruses, germs etc!. If you are healthy, a small number of germs usually doesn't matter as they are trapped in the sputum and are killed by the immune system!. Sometimes the germs multiply and cause lung infections!. This is more likely to happen if you are already in poor health!. Specially if you are frail or elderly; if you have a chest disease; if you have a low immunity to infection due to such things as alcohol dependence, AIDS, or other serious illness!. However, even healthy people sometimes develop pneumonia!.

you can also develop asperation pneumonia!. That happens when a person who has vomited and it was breathed into their lungs!. symptoms are the same as already listed here!. But the best description you are basically drowning in your own fluid!. it is not unusual for someone with congestive heart failure to develop pnuemonia too especially if they don't keep up with their meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Pneumonia can be bacterial or viral!. I had pneumonia 2 years ago!. I could hardly breathe, couldn't walk ustairs without feeling like I was gasping for air, in the end I passed out through lack of oxygen!. Rushed to hospital, given antibiotics through a needle about 4 times a day!. My pneumonia was caused by a chest infection!.!.!.!.

some years ago I had pneumonia after I contracted influenza and did not take care of myself as I tried to carry on working !. I would not wish that on anybody, in my delirium I saw the grim reaper coming towards me!. I was put on strong antibiotics and was in bed a long time!. After that I was so weak for about 10 weeks!. It was the worst illness I have ever had!. A year later the doc gave me a pneumonia injection which is protecting me for 10 years!. So yes, mine was brought on by influenza!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There are viral pneumonia's but most are caused by bacteria!. I got it after having the flu (which is viral) because of not being able to clear my lungs, so bacteria set up in the mucus!. I coughed a lot and could not get enough air in my left lung (you can get it in one lung or both), and was weak and had a fever!. If you vomited and then aspirated any of it in your lungs that can cause pneumonia or having a breathing tube during surgery can lead too it!. There are also many more types and causes of pneumonia!. hello!. well i know someone who got pneumonia and it can actually be caused by many different things, as there are many different symptons and outcomes!.!. some are serious and some arent!. run down and having a cough can actually be symptoms of pneumonia! Www@Answer-Health@Com
