I have a blood test tomorrow how long do I need to fast for?!


Question: I have a blood test tomorrow how long do I need to fast for!?
I am getting a HIV/STI test and a diabetes blood test tomorrow, since you can't make appointments they wouldn't really give me a clear idea of how long I had to not eat for (or it could be because I was talking to the receptionist)!.
It is almost 7 PM now and I have stopped eating and I plan to go in at 7 AM is that long enough!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, 12 hours is good, most doctors say 8 hours!. You can have some water, but stay away from coffee!. Caffeine in some people can actually cause a rise in blood sugar!. I am one of themWww@Answer-Health@Com

at least 12 hours!.
