question about breast cancer?!

Question: Question about breast cancer?
Can breast cancer be treated without chemotherapy? I know when my grandma had it she didn't receive any chemo. And if so, how do they treat the cancer? With surgery?

Answers:

Breast cancers are almost all treated with surgery as the most important
management of the primary tumor mass. Older patients needing adjuvant
(preventive) systemic therapy or treatment for known distant metastases
may be treated with hormonal therapy - tablets - rather than chemotherapy
depending on the stage and the receptor status of the original malignancy.
Breast cancer therapy is individualized since no two people with breast
cancer are the same. Breast cancer treatment decisions are also very
complicated - which is why it takes 13 to 14 years to become a medical oncologist.
