Am I at risk for Diabetes?!
Question: Am I at risk for Diabetes?
These are the symptoms of both types.
Type 1 Diabetes
?Frequent urination
?Unusual thirst
?Extreme hunger
?Unusual weight loss
?Extreme fatigue and Irritability
Type 2 Diabetes*
?Any of the type 1 symptoms
?Frequent infections
?Blurred vision
?Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
?Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet
?Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections
I have extreme fatigue and am irritated by the littlest of things. But I'm 13, so I'm guessing I'm just growing, developing, and getting attitude because of hormones? What do you guys think? I also have the tingling in my hands and feet, you know when they fall asleep? It doesn't happen all the time, but often, usually when I'm laying down or sitting on my foot, but don't most people get that? Or do they not? I don't have any other symptoms other than those two.

This just sounds like growing and developing. The most common symptoms of diabetes are extreme thirst and frequent urination. If you don't have that, odds are you probably don't have diabetes.
If you are still concerned about your symptoms, go to your regular doctor and get some blood tests done. Although it sounds like nothing is wrong with you, it's just typical teenage hormones.
