How can I help break my daughter's fever?!
Question:
How can I help break my daughter's fever?
My six year-old daughter has a fever caused by a virus. The pediatrician said it would have to break itself. Are there ways I can help break it? It has gone up to 101 and I have given her children's over the counter medicine. Any suggestions?
Answers:
INGREDIENTS: One spud potatoe
2- cups of vinegar
1- wet wash cloth
INSTRUCTIONS: Slice the potatoe into 6 or 7 round slices and soak in the vinegar for approximately 10 minutes. Place the vinegar slices across the forehead and place the washcloth on top. Have the individual lie down to keep this in place for about 20 minutes and the feever will subside. It sounds crazy but my mom did this to me as a child and I have done this to my children and it works great.
If you're too nauseated to drink, you can suck on ice. For variety, freeze fruit juice in an ice-cube tray. To entice a feverish child, embed a grape or strawberry in each cube
