What can be done about a big thyroid?!
Question: What can be done about a big thyroid?
the thyroid is functioning properly according to blood tests, and there are no nodules on the thyroid. just it grew 3x the normal size over the last couple months. the doctor said nothing can be done, but i doubt it. anyone know what can be done?

So were you diagnosed with a goiter or thyroiditis? Some doctors (not many) put people who are euthyroid on Levothyroxine (Synthroid) to reduce the size of the gland.
