headache and vomiting and high fever In 5 yr old?!
Question: Headache and vomiting and high fever In 5 yr old?
Answers:
My son had a similar thing last week- it lasted 7 days!! Gastroenteritis was what the doctors said. Google dehydration in children- you need to make sure your daughter does not get it because it is classed as a medical emergency. Also make sure you do the glass test if she gets a rash- just in case.
If you are worried take her to out of ours or call NHS Direct, they are quite helpful. I took my son 3 times because I was that worried. There is nothing they can do really, you have to wait for the bug to flush itself out.
Hope she gets better soon.
Meningitis and septicaemia can be hard to recognise at first. Symptoms can appear in any order, but the first symptoms are usually fever, vomiting, headache and feeling unwell, just like in many mild illnesses.

Red ticks show symptoms that are more specific to meningitis and septicaemia and less common in milder illnesses. Limb pain and cold hands and feet often appear earlier than a rash, neck stiffness, photophobia and confusion.
Not everyone gets all these symptoms
Septicaemia can occur with or without meningitis
In some cases of meningitis, a rash may not appear
