Shawn took the words right out of my mouth.. L-lysine.. but if the cold sore if full grown you wont get rid of it in three hours.. maybe three days.. but next time you just feel a tingle. take L-lysine and you wont get a cold sore. good luck.

shawn said you cant overdose on L-lysine and this is true.. but you can take too much and have serious stomach pains.. so only take the suggested amount on the bottle.. you too shawn.. i was puking one night from too much.

Go to Walgreens or drug store as soon as you can and get a bottle of L-Lysine 1000mg usually in the vitamin isle. Take 7000mg a day.(7pills) Do a Google search on it to understand what it is and how it works.. I seriously thought it wouldn't do anything but it cuts the time you have a cold sore more then half. Its cheap so i usually take 1000mg a day everyday to prevent cold sores but if i think one is coming on i kick it up to 7000mg. Great thing is you cant overdose on it cause it a natural protein in your body. I did find though that after a week or so of high dosages, I have very intense vivid dreams but L-lysine is what will solve your problem.
