An easy poll for parents. Are you getting the swine flu vaccine for your family?!
Question: An easy poll for parents. Are you getting the swine flu vaccine for your family?
Answers:
well, I'm not a parent, but I'm not getting it for myself. My husband did because he has to, as he's in the military. It scares me a little.
We always get the flu vaccine at our house (this year the swine flu vaccine was combined with the regular flu vaccine), because my children have friends who are immuno-suppressed because of chronic disorders. If my kids get the flu, it's probably no big deal, but if they pass it to one of these friends, it could mean hospitalization or even death. For us, getting the vaccine is not only for our benefit, but for our community as well.
For the poster who thinks we should not vaccinate because of over-medication - vaccines are not medicine. They introduce inactive disease to your body so that your own immune system can build up a defense. They contain no medicine. It's simply a proactive way for your body to build up the same defenses as it would if you actually got the disease, but in a more controlled way. I vaccinate now, because it means I'll have to give my children less medicine later.
NO! I take 5000IU of vitamin D daily....no cold, no flu, decreased risk of cancer (one study shows 77% reduced risk!) and scientists discovered last year that vitamin D actives the immune system!..to name a few of the immense health benefits....one good vitamin supplement!
Vitamin D proven far better than vaccines at preventing influenza infections >>>

Never. People are way overmedicated, and that's what causes all these new strains of viruses. The body's job is to fight infection. We are VERY rarely sick here.
Is this 2009?
nope
nope, its not safe n i don't care what the doctors say about it
