Can you get mono from sipping off someone else's drink by mistake?!

Question: Can you get mono from sipping off someone else's drink by mistake?
My co workers and I always get coffee for each other every morning, this time i gave someone else my drink and viceversa by mistake. We both barely sipped a little from each other's drink but she has mono!
So now i am wondering if it's safe for me to still drink my coffee :(

Any doctors out there...Please help!!

Answers:

Not a doctor, but yes you can, since it can be transmitted by saliva. I got it when my guy friend sneezed, and then wiped his hands on my face while calling me his "Leetle desert flower" because he's crazy like that. I had to be hospitalized, whereas he barely got sick. D*ck.

yep

The infection is spread via saliva and has an incubation period of 4–7 weeks.[17] Symptoms usually persist for 2–3 weeks,[18] but fatigue is often more prolonged.[4]

Yes, along with the common cold, colitis, pink eye and venereal warts to name a few.
