Brain Tumour success rate?!
Question: Brain Tumour success rate?
If anyone knows any other specialists or alternatives to operations as well be much appreciated..
Answers:
It really depends on the location, type & size.
Some will have a VERY high rate of success, others will have a very high risk.
Various treatments are surgery, chemotherapy & radiotherapy. The oncologist & brain surgeon will know what the best plan is - trust them, they are the experts. As much as people on here will offer advice & 'statistics' they are the only ones that know your father's history & condition.
Always believe that he will get better - a positive or even a determined outlook can make a difference to the outcome & recovery.
Me...oh...had 18months of chemotherapy...and had a brain haemorrhage...fully recovered from both.
Sweety, I dont know the stats but I will say that I hope your father gets the treatment he needs and that he is cured!
My friend Maryann has a tumor in her brain behind her left eye, and it messes with the left side of her body - she can't have it operated on because it's too risky with her other medical problems, but she continues to live a normal as possible life.
Never give up hope.
Never let your dad give up either.
Good luck!!!
