It sounds like your doing too much - you'll probably burn yourself out before the four months is over. You're doing some things right though and I'm very proud :). Most people who ask these type of questions SUCK in terms of preparation like you have done.

Here are some pointers on ur diet:
- your diet is awesome :) except you could lose the ham and dried fruit and replace it with top round beef (extremely lean but really dry) and real fruits. Oh and make sure the cottage cheese is fat free
- make fruits and vegetables ALL of ur carb sources and be sure to eat tons of them
- consume tons of fats. supplement ur diet with fish oils and have fat at every meal
- eat slowly (20 minutes) and once every 2-3 hrs, whether it be a snack or a sit down meal
- eat a BIG breakfast - the bigger the breakfast, the less ull eat throughout the day
- try not to eat anything within 2-3 hrs of sleeping. To help curve cravings, take a walk outside for an hour before going to bed

Exercise:
- your doing way too much on a diet. Get rid of the walking with jogging intervals and elliptical for 30 min
- instead, do:
squat, rows, lunges, and pushups all in a circuit fashion for 10-12 reps each (use weight to match 10 reps). you can rest inbetween each exercise but be sure to make it minimal if not none. Repeat three times and do this twice a week (mon., fri)
- try H.I.I.T. every wednesday: jog or walk for thirty seconds, sprint for thirty seconds (or less depending on ur conditioning) and complete for however many you can muster
- the biggest tip for exercise is to do more each workout. for the circuit fashion workout, be sure to either do one more rep or increase the weight and with the HIIT, do one more minute each week.

Diet is the biggest factor in weight loss, so since you have that down, you should have no problem. good luck :)

Sounds good except for the cheese cut it out!
Cottage cheese once a week.
and also try this:

to get started no soda drink a gallon of water a day spring or distill no tap water!! or crystal light for your meals.

Lunch eat a grilled chicken breast vegetables with light oil or margarine and a fruit.

Dinner eat a tuna or chicken salad and a small cut of vegetables and a fruit.

no eating after 7pm !!

do 250 sit-ups in the morning and 250 sit-ups before bed.

Try this for 3 weeks and see the difference only if you really want to loose weight.

P.S.
American Whey protein is also good for a replacement meal.
Good taste and goes down smoothly.
Been taking it for 5 yrs now.

Good luck:

Thats sounds pretty good, but make sure to drink lots of water and how you assemble those items in your diet.

Also watch the dried fruit if you are buying it, many dried fruit products contain ridiculous amounts of sugars. Also ham tends to be pretty fatty and contain quite a bit of sodium, so i woudl limit ham as well. Eat 3 balanced meals a day with a small snack in between each one.

that sounds like a really good plan. but you should alternate between differetn diet and exercise periods. it makes you lose more weight. so i you walk one day, jog the next, and wall up the stairs the next day. salmon can sometimes be fattening and so can tuna. so stick to small portions of meat and it's best if you eat plain salad (no cheese or dresssing cuz they can add up to so much). dont eat too mcuh boiled eggs either, although they have lots of essential vitamins etc. in them. you should lose about 2 pounds a week which is like 30-40 pounds in 3-4 months!!!! good luck

It sounds like to me that you have a great regimen going. I don"t know why you could not loose the entire 40 that you feel you are over. 10 lbs a month is not out of reach. The only other thing that I would suggest.............lots and lots of water.
