Grocery List 4 Healthy Living!?!


Question: Me and my room mates have decided to try eating healthy!
and were going grocery shopping
but we have no clue what to buy! or the basics!
please help us!
Also were college kids so this stuff needs to be affordable!

Organic plain original Oatmeal
Seven Whole Grain Puffs Kashi
Kashi Waffles
Bear Naked Granola
Stonyfield Yogurt

Almonds

natural health nut bread/ The Bakers Yoga Bread
Boars Head Turkey Breast
Carrots
Celery
Spinach
Organic tomatoe soup


Apples

Veggie burgers

When I lived with my 2 best friends we would buy lots of salad stuff... and because we seemed always on the go we would usually buy a lot of smart ones, lean cusines and healthy choice meals as an alternative if we couldnt cook. I'm not sure exactly how healthy those things are but its better than getting pizza or what not. Also when eating out I always went to pita pit, subway or juice stop (some sort of healthy smoothie place) instead of mc d's or whatever. Try to stick to fresh stuff like fresh fruits and vegis, and lean meats such as chicken and fish. Oatmeal is good for breakfast...(or at least i think so). :)

Switch to Low Fat or Skim Milk. There's a bread you can buy that only has 40 calories. Either that or switch to wheat. Buy light mayo. Eat sandwiches and baked chips or pretzels. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies. Salads are good. Breakfast foods can be bagels, cereal w/skim milk. Baked chicken, fish etc... Lots of lean/lowfat is a good way to go. Snack foods can be 100 calorie snacks or graham crackers, pretzels, fruit, veggies...
