How do I tone my abs?!


Question: Alright well I have been doing sit-ups, side bends, and super-mans forever it feels, and i have very strong ab muscles, but i still have this layer of fat on my stomach..... what do i do? i feel like these are toning my muscles but not getting rid of the fat i have there...HELP!!!!

Hi...You must realize that you can do every sit-up/abodominal exercise out there...but you cannot spot-reduce...Try reading this article on getting rid of ab-flab:

You will need to:
#1 - Cut down on "bad" carbs...Eat more protein, whole-grain foods, fruits & veggies, and drink more water!! Bad carbs are sugary sodas, candy, and starchy foods...Such as white bread, white rice, white pastas...Instead, try the whole-grain, whole-wheat versions of these foods...Also, eat lean proteins...Don't fry them, rather--bake or broil your food...

Also do cardio for an hour a day daily...Try running for a half-hour, and then do another half-hour of a kickboxing segment:

Toning means losing fat to show muscle. You can workout all you want but if you have fat covering it, it's just not going to show - like you stated. You can't lose fat in one area, only way to do that is to lose fat overall...and losing weight is just an open-ended question - reduce calories, high intensity exercise, go to gym.

Most important of all is don't give up!
