Workout question reguarding growth?!


Question: 1. I go to the gym every other day. i'm 14 years old and ive recently heard from my doctor that it could stunt my growth. Is this true? If so, how can i prevent while still trying to build muscle?

I'm not a doctor but I imagine this works because instead of your calorie intake going towards growth, it going towards muscles gain. It's because your burning off the food you eat so it's not going to growing. I think cardio workout will be the best for you, but you can still do weight training, any exercise makes you gain more muscle but light exercise will make you toned, weight training and heavy exercise makes you muscular.

Hate to say this... but at 14 dont worry about muscle dude. The level of testosterone in your body is too low to give you a sufficient level of growth anyway. Work of cardio/running as much as you can. That way when your 18 years old and start using weights you'll be thin and the muscles you gain then will show through wonderfully. I'm 22 and have muscle, but I wish I had worked on running more at younger ages, I would look much better than now if I did.
