In order to be healthy in America, you are going to have to go out of the main stream. The buzz today is to eat LOW FAT, HIGH CARB, and no red meat. That is not only ridiculous, but will damage your body.

If you look at the primitive people all over the world as did Dr. Weston A. Price that did just that, you will be on your way to understanding what makes people healthy. If you listen to the so called "food experts" that are nothing more than "hired guns" of the food industry, you will become a statistic like the other Americans that are following that ignorance.

The primitive people in cultures all over the world had NO cavities, NO cancer, NO diabetes, NO jaw deformities and lived long healthy lives. In fact, most villages where the primitive people lived and ate their indigenous diets had NO doctors because they simply didn't need them. Compare that scenario with the 53% of ALL Americans to day that are suffering from chronic diseases and you will begin to understand the crisis we are in. In fact, to illustrate my point, just look at the sperm count of American males in 1940. It was 163 million sperm per mil. In 1990, it was 66 million sperm per mil. The decline has been linear and the prediction now for the year 2020 is 5 million sperm per ml. Since it takes 5 million sperm to generate a viable egg, that means we will be in a situation where most American men will not be able to reproduce. It is estimated by 2050, there will only a handful of men capable of making babies. That statistic alone should generate a real wake up call, but I will guess that you have not heard a peep from anyone on this.

We are told that we are living longer than anyone on earth. That is just not true. We are now ranked 24th in the world and that means that 23 countries have people living longer than we do in America. The drugs being generated are only extending the diseased and sick to hobble around being dependent upon them for breathing, but the truth is, the quality of life has been greatly diminished. I refuse to be a bubble boy or a legal drug addict to just keep breathing while the quality of life goes in the toilet.

If you truly want to be healthy, you will have to buy organic foods that are grown on rich, fertile soils, not just the ones that are not sprayed or chemically fertilized. You need to follow the primitive diets that were learned over centuries that truly work. These LOW FAT, HIGH CARB, NO red meat diets are dangerous for many reasons. FAT is essential to making our bodies work correctly. If you eat little fat, your body will suffer and you will develop cravings and find dieting difficult and a matter of "will power" to avoid eating. Basically starving yourself to death to prove you can do it. Did you know that your heart is surrounded by saturated fat and that your heart uses fat as fuel? Did you know that cholesterol is just an indicator of having heart disease because someone discovered that if you have high cholesterol, heart disease paralleled that finding and that cholesterol, itself does not cause heart disease? That is according to the American Heart Association. Hmmm.

I recommend you buy the book: "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" by Dr. Weston A. Price. This will give you a basic understanding of what the primitives did to be healthy and that comes complete with pictures and very well documented studies he did at a time in history where the primitive people around the world were not contaminated with modern diets.

Get the book, "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon and Mary G. Enig, pH.D. This book is a cookbook, but also a very good resource of information found in the first 63 pages.

Get the book, "Life without Bread" by Christian Allan, pH.D. this will give you an incite into fats and carbs that is very good sound nutritional advice.

Avoid ALL Soy products, except for fermented soy like that found in Miso and Soy Sauce. Avoid ALL vegetable oils because these highly unstable oils are typically rancid when you buy them in the store due to light and low heat and then when you heat them even slightly, they polymerize from the "cis" configuration into the "trans" configuration. These trans fats generated by these oils stop the transfer of nutrients through the phospholipid membranes of your endocrine cells.

If you become deficient in fats from the LOW FAT diets, you will have problems with your liver and gall bladder, as well as the body will not be able to make important endocrine hormones creating all kinds of issues.

Focus on having a diet with the following ratios:

40% carbs; 30% fats; 30% proteins. In regard to the fats, you need to break those down into: 60% monounsaturated fats (like that found in Olive Oil), 30% saturated fats (like those found in Real Butter made from RAW CREAM for the butyric acid content that nourishes your intestines, Coconut Oil that is high in Lauric Acid that nourishes your thyroid, and Beef from Grass Fed Cows, not Angus Beef, commercially fed grain from some feed lot); and 10% (omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids in a 1:1 balance).

Make sure your first morning urine pH is between 6.4 and 7.0. This will assure you that the energy in each of your cells will be sufficient.

You are truly NOT what you eat, but only what you DIGEST. Make sure your digestion is superb or all the good foods you eat will not be doing what they should and you will not be healthy.

good luck

eat 'local' foods, grown close to your home and 'in-season' foods
