Can you gain weight by fasting?!

Question: What if you wake up at sunrise and eat a good and healthy meal or you don't eat one, which one is better? Then at sunset you eat a small healthy meal then you eat like a snack an hour later such as fruit or anything like that and then after 2 hours you eat another snack but a little bigger such as carrots and chips or something like chocolate. So if you fast like this can you gain weight? and people say that you gain weight when you fast how? is it because maybe at sunset they're like so hungry and eat a lot and fast is it that way? plz answer all my questions that i asked here throughly thanx :)

The thing is, the less frequently you eat, the slower your metabolism is. If your body knows it's not gunna eat often enough, it slows your metabolism down to protect yourself.

After fasting for 8 hours during sleep, your metabolism is quite slow. If you dont eat breakfast to break your fast, then your metabolism isn't gunna boost up and by the end of the day, whatever you eat is gunna stick with you longer than if you woulda ate earlier to jump start your metabolism.

eat healthy and reward yourself onec every 2days . but if u eat to haelth u can die of being to skiny and u can die being to fat. so 50% eat healthy and 50% reward urself.

The fasting state is not a starvation state. When you fast, you must not eat any food or your body will go into a starvation state and you will not be fasting.

You will lose weight when you fast. If you are in a starvation state and eat food, you will gain weight.

If you eat lots of carbs and low fat, you will be hungry most of the time and need to eat frequently to satisfy the blood sugar issue due to all those carbs. Carbohydrates are like the kindling used to start a fire and the fats are like the big logs on the fire that burn a long time. The fats give you sustained energy and are essential to any diet that will be long lasting. These Low Fat, High Carb diets are ridiculous and being promoted by the so called "food experts" promoting products and are nothing more than "hired guns" devised to make you think the know what they are talking about and you should listen to them. It's a great marketing scheme that really works because people listen to the "experts" and follow like sheep.

Fasting has been used by people's throughout the ages to detoxify the body. It works, but you need to understand the correct way to do it, so you don't end up starving yourself and not getting the results you are trying to achieve.

If you want to understand fats and carbs and are interested in losing weight the best way, get the book: "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, pH.D. Another very good book is: "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon & Mary G. Enig, pH.D.

good luck

it seems you have the term fast confused?to fast means to eat nothing only liquids.by not eating any solid foods you force the body to start releasing its fat stores as it cant find any other means for fuel.with the burning of the fat stores toxins are released and are aliminated as waste.
