we just learned this in health...its because by losing that 5 lbs, you are trying to change your bodies "favorite" weight. your body liked being 136 or whatever. it will fight to maintain that weight. to maintain your new ideal weight, you need to keep that 5 lbs off for a long time, so work at it and your hunger will go away. if you ask "why? its just five lbs." it's because the last 5 lbs are the hardest to lose (also due to this concept)

go to sleep earlier :) good luck xoxoxo

eat foods w/ fiber and drink a lot of water to curb hunger

Hi. I am 19, 5'2 and weight 140lbs and I too am trying to lose a few pounds before my partner gets back from travelling. I am doing the South Beach Diet (SBD) and have been doing it for 9 days now. I have already lost 8lbs and haven't felt hungry. But I, like you, have been getting hunger pangs in the evening, and especially before I fall asleep. I tried going to bed earlier, but I just kept waking up feeling hungry. I drank water because I thought I was dehydrated, but it didn't help. The best cure I have found so far is to drink half a glass of milk. It helps you to feel full, is low in fat and has the added benefit of helping you to fall asleep. Try it and see what you think :-)

I know how that can be. But how exactly have did you lose the weight? Did you starve yourself? Because I know for my, I usually am too busy to eat during the day and I get REALLY hungry at night, but that is only because I didn't eat all day! And when I slow down and basically come to the stopping point in my day and time to rest, my stomach is like well.. you've stopped now eat something!

But the best way to curb the hunger is to drink water. Lots and lots of water! Hope this helps!

Because during the day you're not consuming enough basically calories to fuel sleep. It sounds weird, but sleeping burns more calories than being awake and doing nothing because that is your body's repair cycle. I bet you're burning off most of what you eat during the day by exercising which means that whatever reserves you have left aren't really enough to fuel your sleep state. Try adding one more snack during the day and see if that helps.

Your burn more energy you have to fuel to the level of that energy. Just eat healthy and lean. Try a banana and a glass of milk.

Your stomach is the size of your fist. So eating 5 to 8 small fist size meals is what you should be eating. You have to program your body to accept food. Once it knows you are getting food it will not hold on to it and not store it which is how you gain fat.

dont get high at night it cause hunger!
