Question: I have tried quite a few different brands of OTC pills over the years but stopped once I learned of their harmful effect of the various stimulants used (see Dr. Weil's article listed below under source).
A healthier and cheaper option to control hunger, is to eat 5 small meals throughout the day. An apple and 6 almonds can really take the edge off. Also, you can take a fiber supplement (capsule or powder) 30 minutes before every meal. I find it keeps me from overeating during the meal and keeps me satisfied for hours afterwards.
