Should I join the gym.....?!

Question: Through my job, I can join NYSC for $72 a month and use any facility (even the ones in Boston, Philly and DC).

I really want to lose about 20 pounds this year and change my attitude toward fitness.... maybe increase my confidence and boost my self-esteem at the same time.

Should I go for it?

The only thing I'm concerned about is my work schedule. In addition to my regular job, I am currently working a lot of hours part time too. I don't want to pay for the gym membership and never make it there.

What would you do?

If you put your mind to it and make it a high priority it will be worth it. I have days where I can only make it in for 20 minutes but I feel it is a lot better than not going.

This takes discipline and focus and not for the weak minded. You can do it though.

The only way too go to the gym is to MAKE time for it.
So you'll probably have to sacrifise something else for it.
Only you really know if you can fit it into your schedule.

pay for it. I'm a Marine and i have over 5 free gyms in the area, BUT i pay for a gym membership. Now your probably saying "why pay when its free" if i pay for it, i will actually make time for it because it just drains my money if i dont. so yes pay, even if you dont go you will find time and try to make the most you can of your 72$ a year.

maybe start with a nice treadmill. it will save you money and time.. then if you actually use the treadmill you spend your money on then maybe try the Gym for more advanced weight training. and you will have the treadmill at home for your days off of work or when you are needing to get home.

72 dollars a month is alot... gyms shouldn't cost that much.
