Answers: is yoga exercise? can it burn lots of calories?

yes, it may not burn as many calories as other types of exercise, but it still helps you become more flexible and can build certain muscles

Yes, maybe

I would assume aerobic is more calorie burning. But Yoga is great for building lean muscles :)

I don't know how many calories it burns, but yes it's exercise

Yoga is just really relaxation. I dont think it could burn calories idk

is not really to burn calories, is intensive but is more for strength and flexibility, and very good as mental training you fell tor totally relaxed,

There are different kinds of yoga....so it depends on what kind you're referring to.

bikram yoga burns an amazing amount of calories.
i think all yoga burns calories. ashtanga is particularly active. yes, you should try some strenuous yoga and see if it feels like exercise to you.

See Yoga is an exercise as well as meditation. The yogic exercises are known as Asanas and the breathing / meditation exercises are known as Pranayanams. If both of them are jointly done (see Hatha Yoga in the net) then there is an overall improvement in the body wherein lots of excess calories / fat are burnt and the body would be slim, healthy and also gentle unlike rigid / muscular which is derived due to ordinary exercise. Yoga should be done only when your abdomen and intestines are empty and therefor doing it early in the morning before breakfast and after nature call is advisable. Doing yoga regularly for 1/2 hour everyday would give one overall good health and he/she would remain youthful whole throughout their lifetime.I have seen yogis beyond the age of 80 very strong and handsome in India.
