Is it possible......?!


Question: I'm 13 5'4 and only weigh 80 lbs! Is it possible for me to put on 30 lbs in 10 weeks with a really fast metabolism? If so, will it be safe or will I have to stuff mysef? If I ate a loaf of bread a day would it help?

Well, since the most muscle mass even elite athletes under rigorous training have been able to put on is about a pound of muscle a week, that would mean at best you would only be able to put on 10 pounds of muscle. However your initial growth would probably decline and you probably couldn't achieve such progress, not to mention you are only thirteen and haven't even reached your peak testosterone yet.

That means, if you are really lucky you will put on ~5 pounds of muscle, the rest will have to be fat then. Gaining 25 pounds of fat is very unhealthy, so I wouldn't recommend it. You would have to overeat big time to pull that off.

eat food with lots of calories and carbohydrates in it, working out might help too, muscle weights more than fat!

you WILL gain weight eventually. i mean who ever heard of a 30 year old who weighted 80 lbs?!?! i say if you want to gain weight then just take more helpings at dinner and eat more healthy snacks in between. don't eat that loaf of bread a day. I actually wish i was your weight but i'm shorter than you, so it's kinda different. but if gaining that 30 lbs. is that important, you can try asking your doctor. they will know what is the best way for safe weight gain. good luck!
