Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.

Water serves as a lubricant
Water forms the base for saliva
Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
Regulates metabolism
In addition to the daily maintainence of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

buy some flavored water packets, it tastes a lot better

Its bad not just because you're simply not drinking water, but because you're probably drinking a lot more juice and milk, even pop. Which is all sugary/fattening. I used to be the same way, once I started drinking water and cut out juice I lost so much weight.

Boy are you in trouble if you don't start drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. You will be constipated and have urinary infections if you don't flush your system. Try drinking tap water warm. I like to drink mine hot in the am instead of coffee. I keep a full glass on the kitchen counter to take. Replace the water. Drink more. Once you get used to it you will notice your skin, face and hair more vibrant. No pop -- its terrible for you. Start young to develop this habit.

Its real bad you dont drink water. You are 70% made of water. Water cleans the toxins from your body and can also be a hunger suppresant. Exercise will increase water intake, drinking it instead of juiceat a meal once a day. There is really nothing healthy you can add to it. Crystal lite and that garbage causes cancer and other issues. You could try it honey and lemon. U can even water down some stuff, it will at least increase your water intake.

Try your best to drink water. Don't drink anything with caffeine like soda or coffee or tea because those actually dehydrate your body more. If you feel like drinking soda, pick juice instead, it would help. You'll be ok

I don't like drinking water either, but I LOVE green tea. I don't know if it can replace water, but I dilute it down really good ( about 5 tea bags to a 2 quart pitcher) and I haven't had any problems with my kidneys or anything.

omg Put some lemon in your water!!! Like, if you have a whole lemon, anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 of a lemon is good. It makes it taste so much better (I'm on my second bottle this hour). You can drink Fruit 2-0 or Fruit 2-0-Plus? I'd stay away from Propel, Powerade, Gatorade, etc. because of all the sugar (high fructose corn syrup is a killer). <-- I'm a hypocrite, by the way. It's very unhealthy for you, though, because water helps your body in sooo many ways. It helps you lose weight, makes you feel fuller, helps your body work, cleans it out, etc. I'm sorry if it's boring for you, but find some kind of really low sugar flavored water or just put some lemon in it. If you don't like lemon... eek. There are some kinds of water, such as Dasani, that have an iron-ish taste (similar to the taste of blood and nickel :D), which can taste good for some people. That's really all the advice I can give you... But drink up! Oh, and avoid caffiene, because it DEhydrates you.

Water is one of the most important things that we can give our bodies. It is bad that you don't drink it. You need to get some water in you, whether you like it or not. Depriving your body of water will cause all kinds of problems.

if you get packets to put in water they taste a lot better!
believe me, i had the same problem. But then i started to get regular massive migraines. I use water senstations packets.
But if you like lemon flavors, True Lemon is pretty good (they also have lime)

Try something like a lemon-ade mix or other flavors. Avoid things with a high caffeine or high sugar content they will defeat the purpose.

CRYSTAL LIGHT!!! haha its only five calories and it comes it many different flavours! personally i love pink lemonade. just put that in a bottle of water shake it up and trust me ..you will be guzzling water all day! (which in short is better for you then any other beverage)!!

I also hate water. I can barely gag it down, and I'm not exaggerating. I've tried all kinds....Brita, bottled, spring, etc.. Blech!!!
I make a half gallon of half-strength kool-aid and that's what i drink in place of water. At first it takes some getting used to because it's not sweet, as you're only using half the sugar they suggest and half the flavoring. But if you keep it in the frig and drink it cold it's tolerable.

I also water down juices; like if I drink calcium-fortified oj, I'll add some cold water to it. I also add water to soups, and once in awhile if I make hot chocolate I add water to that. Sometimes if I eat ice cream or chocolate, I do like to drink very cold water, but that isn't very often. :)

You don't have to drink plain water to get enough liquids. Lots of foods contain water...watermelon, lettuce, cucumbers, oranges, grapefruit and other fruits. If you make oatmeal, you're adding water to cook it. When you eat tomato sauce on your pasta, there is water in it. There are liquids in the other foods you eat. You can eat jello and get fluids.

The only reason to drink plain water is if you have a weight problem. If you're active and your weight is within normal ranges, you can get your fluids from other sources, keeping in mind that you don't want to pile on the sugar because that is unhealthy for other reasons.

you could die

put some iced tea mix in it or kool aid mix in it.
