Fasting whilst breastfeeding?!
Question: I read about this and debated long and hard I have decided to do a juice and kombucha tea fast . I'm curious if anyone else has done this . No lectures please I would never jeopardize my or my nurlings health and have consulted a dietician. I'm just wanting to hear from mom's who have fasted.

I don't recommend fasting while breastfeeding. You can't do both. If you fast, you milk supply in going to diminish and dry up quickly and your baby will not get the proper nutrients. The kombucha tea will probably be passed on to the baby, which is probably not ideal. I do not fast while I was nursing but I started dieting and cutting back on my calories and my milk like disappeared! I was so distraught, because I wanted to do what was best for my daughter,that I started researching how to increase my milk supply. I ended up going to GNC and buying a supplement called Fenugreek so that I could continue nursing and I put my dieting plans on hold. I hope this helps.
im not a mom but i think while nursing its almost impossible to fast while nursing because you crave so much.
Consider this the lecture you are expecting.
Why not "consult" a doctor -- perhaps a PEDIATRICIAN.
Your dietician must be pretty ignorant. Or else he or she would've told you to include lots of vitamins, calcium, and protein in your diet.
I suggest that you get a second opinion from another dietician. And make sure that this dietician is well qualified.
