IS my leg press good?!

Question: I only started pressing leg for about 2 weeks now from 1 year leg press break.

1 year before max 220 of 25 reps

1 week before max 410 of 2 reps

today 430 of 8 reps

The machine could only max upto may be 600 lbs.I think i could do that in like 3-4 weeks. But where or how does ronnie coleman or kevin levrone put up 1000-2000 lbs on the machine.

Should i do 600 for 20 reps whats your opinion.I cant do squats because it cause so much problem for my back.

Very impressive they usually put a person on the machine like arnold and add more weights somewhere ontop

Well I guess it depends on whether you are a girl or not. Kudos if you are!

Pro athletes only do around 600. Going much higher is really bad for the joints and you don't really need that much.

If you've ever seen Ronnie Coleman doing it on youtube, you'll see the difference between the machines.

no, ur over doing it

Ronnie Coleman doesn't do leg presses in his regular workout. The pictures you see of him doing it are only for commercials.

To grow strong ditch the leg press and embrace the squat. There are different variations - powerlifting, olympic, hack squat, split squat, front squats, etc.
